The University of Cambridge is committed to being an open, diverse and inclusive place to work and study – but what is life really like for its LGBTQ+ staff? Join us to learn about the work of the University’s LGBTQ+ Network, and updates about their ongoing activities. We will also be joined by Professor Kamal Munir, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for University Community and Engagement, to hear about his vision for inclusion at Cambridge. Finally, our main talk of the evening will be from Professor Giles Oldroyd FRS (he/they) who will share their experiences of being a queer scientist in Cambridge and beyond.
Afterwards we will enjoy drinks, nibbles and each other’s company. This is a great opportunity to learn more about LGBTQ+ issues in Cambridge, make connections and have a fun evening. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible. (And yes, allies are very welcome too!)”
